A MESSAGE FROM THE CO

To our BILLINGS families and friends, every deployment tells a story.

Some chapters are defined by missions accomplished. Others are defined by the people who prepare for those missions.

This month was one of preparation, pride, and perseverance.

Early in June, BILLINGS completed a successful Deployment Maintenance Availability (DMAV), ensuring we remained fully mission capable
and ready for whatever came next. Throughout the month, our Sailors sharpened their skills through demanding drills, celebrated promotions,
warfare qualifications, reenlistments, and awards, and continued building a culture rooted in trust, accountability, and taking care of one
another.

What continues to impress me most isn’t simply what this crew accomplishes; it’s how they accomplish it. Whether mentoring a junior Sailor,
encouraging a shipmate through a difficult workout, preserving the ship with pride, or sharing a meal during our Fight Together, Eat Together,
Sit together weekends, our crew continues proving that great teams are built one relationship at a time.

As this edition goes to print, USS BILLINGS has arrived off the coast of Venezuela prepared to support Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster
Relief operations. While the mission ahead is just beginning, this crew arrived exactly as we strive to every day; prepared, professional, and
ready to answer the call. That readiness wasn’t built overnight. It was earned through every qualification, every drill, every maintenance action,
every workout, every conversation, and every decision to take care of one another throughout this month.

Be All In, Go All Out! ATTACK!!

Very respectfully,
CDR Frank Lemene
Commanding Officer
USS Billings (LCS-15)
